It?s no news to some people, especially gamers that Wii U is a bit leaning on the failure side. It hadn?t been performing well in the previous year and there?s a speculation that Nintendo is planning on putting it down for some reason. This does not necessarily mean that Nintendo is going downward spiral. According to Fable creator, Peter Molyneux, Nintendo still has a lot of things going on and just because Wii U didn?t perform as they have expected, the company will demise.
?Never underestimate Nintendo? says Molyneux in an IGN interview. ?They’re probably one hardware release away from something that utterly convinces us that they know exactly what the future of games should be.” Indeed, they are as the rumors surrounding Quality Of Life platform is buzzing around already.
Molyneux clearly stated that he is not a big fan of Wii U?s ?clunky? control pad like some people who aren?t into huge touch screen controllers. However, he did say that he trusts Nintendo and the ?smart-people? behind its production team. Even after the Wii U have been nose diving causing Nintendo a huge slash of sales loss.
“The problem with Nintendo is they did a fantastic job of finding these millions of new players with the Wii, and the Wii U kind of does that, but also tries to bring in the existing gamers as well, so they may have lost their way a bit,”
Even with all these, Wii U still has some cards up its sleeves which can put it out from its current state. With titles Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Zelda Wii U and other exclusive titles, there?s still a chance that Wii U get back on its feet and reclaim its position. We all know that Nintendo is the grand daddy of video games and it?s hard not to think they they will turn the tables when we least expect it. They are good at innovating stuff and we can count on it every time.
