It has been five years since The Walking Dead series aired on AMC and fans have been eager if a happy ending is in the cards. The Walking Dead Season 6?will be airing this October 11 and the executive producer has hinted that TV show may end with a hopeful fate for its characters.
The Walking Dead has always been a bleak TV show where almost anyone can die. There is however an exception for its protagonist, Rick Grimes along with the core group members who have survived from the first season untill the end of The Walking Dead Season 5. Nonetheless, the series is known for having a dark tone where its characters anguish in misery. This has led fans to believe that series will have a bad ending.
According to Screen Rant however, there is a ray of hope for the characters to find a happy ending at the end of their journey. For Robert Kirkman, the executive producer of the TV series and the original comic book creator, he sees The Walking Dead being a story about men overcoming their obstacles:
?People talk about how ?The Walking Dead? is very bleak, and if you take a certain cross-section of the story, yeah, it?s horrible. People [are] getting their loved ones eaten and they?re having a horrible time. But I see the story from beginning to end, over many, many years, so I think it?s a very hopeful story about humanity overcoming this insurmountable, apocalyptic situation? it?s just gonna take them a long time to do it.?
Kirkman already has a plan on how to end the series.
?About a year or two ago, I finally nailed down exactly what I want the ending to be,? Kirkman told EW last year.
Kirkman hinted two trails on how to end the story:
?One working to where I?m at very far into the future, and one working from the end backwards. When those two stories meet, then I?ll know exactly how long the story is. I?m rapidly approaching that point.?
It will still take us a long time before we witness the ending of TWD as the series? season 6 will only be starting this October and they are already trying to excite fans with new videos.
The first scene of TWD has been released showing Abraham and Sasha driving. At the end of the clip, Sasha says they are about to do ?something big?. Not much details is known on where they are going and what they will be doing, Slash Film reported.
Also released is a TWD promo video showcasing all the characters while the song ?We Carry On? plays in the background.
TWD airs this October 11, 2015. Meanwhile, you can get your TWD fix with Fear The Walking Dead which is a prequel of the series. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??
