Season 7 of The Vampire Diaries started off with a bang and it doesn’t look like the rivalry between our Mystic Falls heroes and the Heretics is cooling off anytime soon.
When an impulsive decision by Damon threatens to unravel a carefully negotiated deal between Stefan Salvatore and Lily, he has no choice but to make amends with his mother before things spiral further out of control.
However, Lily remains one step ahead and carries out a harsh plan that hits Damon where it hurts most. Elsewhere, after returning to Whitmore College, Alaric Saltzman turns to Bonnie Bennett for help with a mysterious and potentially dangerous artifact he has obtained, while Matt Donovan is forced into making a risky life or death decision.
Meanwhile, Caroline, who finds herself a pawn in Lily and the heretics’ plan for retribution, uncovers a shocking detail about Stefan’s past,? states a report by Wet Paint.
In the latest episode it was shown that, the Heretics quickly take control on Mystic Falls. Lily tried to use it as a training ground to help her children assimilate to life alongside humans in the 21st century. But after Stefan and Caroline’s failed attempt to blow up the Heretics Lily’s children wreaked havoc throughout the town, while Lily took over the Salvatore home and banished our heroes from the town reported Melty.
According to Realty, the other storylines will be explored in the upcoming episode. This will involve the mysterious artifact which Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) acquired.
Viewers will also get a glimpse of the risky decision of Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig). In the next episode, there will also be a three-year jump where new female characters will be introduced. These new characters will be another threat to the Salvatore brothers.
The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec teased in a recent interview that Season 7 will have a flash-forward storyline. The Vampire Diaries Season 7 episode 2 is titled Never Let Me Go and will air on Thursday on The CW.
