Paramount Pictures has once again delayed the release of The Ring 3, earlier called The Ring 3D. The third film in the supernatural horror movie franchise had earlier canceled its November 2015 release and was expected to come out on April 01, 2016 instead. That is until this new delay. Reports are abuzz that The Ring 3 will most likely hit theaters on October 28, 2016, according to Coming Soon.
Is the movie delayed due to the superhero films that are lined up this year? The latest Deadpool got an amazing response worldwide. Will such movies eat up the profits of The Ring 3?
The delay, however, does not come as a surprise after no teaser trailer was released with the supposed April 1 release date just two months away. Should the movie come out this fall, we believe that indeed Halloween would be the best time for the release of this horror film.
Johnny Galecki, Matilda Lutz and Alex Roe will star in the Ring. The horror flick is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and written by Akiva Goldsman, David Loucka and Jacob Aaron Este. Guillermo del Toro is the executive producer of the movie.
Meanwhile, Paramount Pictures has pushed for the release of Linklater?s Everybody Wants Some on April 1, 2016 after the Ring changed its release date. Movies to be shown around that time are Amityville: The Awakening, Don Cheadle?s Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, and the Nicholas Hoult thriller Collide.
Fans and viewers who have been anticipating Everybody Wants Some, Linklater?s sequel to Dazed and Confused, can now rejoice with this news. The movie is a college comedy in the world of 1980s featuring Blake Jenner, Tyler Hoechlin, Wyatt Russell, Ryan Guzman and Zoey Deutch. The plot includes college baseball players as they navigate their way through the freedom and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.
