The Last Of Us: Ashley Johnson Wants To Reprise Ellie In A Sequel

One of the most recognized voices in gaming today, Ashley Johnson, says that she is very eager to work on another video game. But it is still not known, whether she will be reprising her much-acclaimed role as Ellie, one of the main characters in The Last of Us.

Ashley voiced Ellie in The Last of Us and it was her first time to perform in a video game. Ashley worked on several TV series, which includes The Killing, The King of The Hill, Drop Dead Divas, Pound Puppies and CSI. She said that she really enjoyed her experience in The Last of Us and would to do it again.

?I’ve been doing voice overs since I was very young, but The Last of Us was my first video game and the first time I had done motion capture. I play video games so I like that I was able to make one and play a key role. I would definitely do it again,? Ashley said.

The Last of Us is an action-adventure and a narrative-driven game which explores the lives of Ellie, a 14-year-old girl and Joel, a broken man that has been coping with the death of his daughter.
Joel and Ellie live in a post-apocalyptic world that has been devastated by a parasite. Joel is tasked to deliver Ellie to a rebel group called Fireflies, because Ellie is said to carry the cure for the plague.

Rumors about a sequel has been muted, although Arne Meyer, the game?s community strategist has hinted that Naughty Dog, is exploring the potential options for making a sequel. ?The only thing that has been confirmed for The Last of Us is an upcoming Hollywood movie.

Ashley is not going to star in any such film, obviously. Playing a 14-year-old girl would prove very difficult, she says. But she would inevitably be called again to reprise Ellie if a The Last of Us sequel was to be made.

The 2013 blockbuster game, The Last of Us is going to be released as a graphically remastered version for PlayStation 4 this week.
