You want more brutal battles against the infected, clickers, and men gone crazy in the Last of Us video game? Want to see more of Ellie and Joel? There?s hope as a Naughty Dog employee accidentally slipped the announcement for a potential The Last of Us 2 game.

During a talk for the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Scherr accidentally said ?The first Last of Us? while talking about his co-worker who had done the facial animations for Uncharted and The Last of Us. He also quickly backpedaled after realizing his slip, Gamesradar reported. Here is Scherr?s slip and you can also see it in Gamesradar?s video below.

?All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was made by Eric here? and the first The Last of Us, uh, did I say the first The Last of Us? The first The Last of Us. Uh, The Last of Us! The first Last of Us. The Last of Us.?

Could this have been a confirmation that Naughty Dog plans to make a sequel? Or was Scherr merely referring to the The Last of Us DLC: Left Behind as the second game? There?s a chance that a sequel is being made because a voice actor of the game previously claimed that Naughty Dog is making The Last of Us 2.

Voice Actor Claimed Game In Development

Nolan North, who did the voice acting for Davis, previously said that the Last of Us 2 is in development, Polygon reported. ?For now I know they?re doing Last of Us 2, but my character in Last of Us kind of met an untimely demise,? North said at the Metrocon panel this June 2015.

According to Christianpost, Naughty Dog previously announced that Naughty Dog would first prioritize development for ?Uncharted 4: A Thief?s End? before working on The Last of Us sequel. However, there was only a 50 percent chance that The Last of Us 2 would be made, Naughty Dog said as repored by Christian Post.

Uncharted 4 would be released this March 18, 2016. Does this mean that The Last of Us 2 would be released in 2017? Or do you even want a sequel at all? Sound off in the comment section below.
