In 2007, the iPhone was born. Since then, the worlds of telecommunication companies and technological companies were changed.

Over the next two years, Apple increased functionality on their iPhones, the??iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS,?while simultaneously lowering their prices, taking the smartphone fully out of the niche and making it mainstream.

The original iPhone had a 3.5-inch screen at 320 x 480 and 163 ppi, a quad-band 2G EDGE data radio, 802.11b.g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, and a 2 megapixel camera. It was efficient, but it still needs some changes. Just one year after launching it, the iPhone 3G was released that is twice as faster but is just half the price of the original.?The iPhone 3G was launched in July 2008 internationally and it reached over 70 countries by the end of the year. It took just one weekend to sell over one million models of the iPhone 3G. The people obviously were excited for it.

In 2009, the iPhone 3GS was released with its new?auto-focus camera, video recording and freedom of voice control features. Apple had begun dominating the market because the iPhone had captured??65% of mobile browsing, and the App Store had grown to feature 50,000 apps.?Like the iPhone’s casing, the price stayed the same but it was an even better purchase because people getting a much faster phone with double the storage.

The iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S followed after, bringing support for broader carriers and faster speeds, better displays and new, natural language interfaces. everybody was hooked. The iPhone looked better and worked faster than ever.??iPhone 4 is the biggest leap since the original iPhone,? said Steve Jobs, Apple?s CEO. It had a completely new design. It definitely changed the game in mobile technology. Apple was leading all the other smartphones. iPhone 4’s rear camera was upgraded to 5 megapixels and 720p video, and a backside illuminated sensor (BSI) and LED flash were added. For the first time, Apple also added a front camera with VGA resolution to it. Profile pictures and “selfies” became more popular then which gave Apple the idea to launch?FaceTime.

But as if that evolution is not enough, the iPhone 5 took the stage. It was presented with a larger and longer screen. It was easy to love the iPhone 5 – it was heaven-sent.??iPhone 5 is the most beautiful consumer device that we?ve ever created,? said Philip Schiller, Apple?s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. ?We?ve packed an amazing amount of innovation and advanced technology into a thin and light, jewel-like device with a stunning 4-inch Retina display, blazing fast A6 chip, ultrafast wireless, even longer battery life; and we think customers are going to love it.??Also, after 10 years of the 30-pin Dock connector, Apple changed it into a smaller, more flexible Lightning connector. It angered people who have invested in the Dock connector-based accessories over the years, but it was accepted after some period of time.

The iPhone 5 was definitely the best smartphone Apple created but little did people know that Apple was just preparing them for their biggest innovations yet – the iOS 7,?the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c.

The iPhone 5c and 5s had basically the same features of the iPhone 5. But with the iPhone 5s, you get a better rear and front camera, a fingerprint identity sensor, an a7 chip and ultrafast LTE service and the iOS 7. It is a better version of the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5c was a less expensive iPhone, created to probably compete with Samsung Galaxy’s mini versions.

The iPhone has changed the game in smartphones. It has changed people’s lives in one way or another, and will definitely continue to amaze us with more wonderful things and features in the years to come.
