By on

Another villain emerges in Central City that will wreak havoc and spread chaos in the next season of the CW?s series ?The Flash.? A recent trailer for the The Flash season 2?was released by the CW, which shows a 10-second video portraying a look at a sinister DC Comics villain and a new Flash gadget that will definitely raise some curiosity, according to Screenrant.

Atom Smasher

The super-powered villain shown on the brief teaser was none other than the comic book supervillain Atom Smasher. The character will be played by former WWE Superstar Adam ?Edge? Copeland, who will make his debut in The Flash season 2, posted by Screenrant.

Atom Smasher first appeared in the DC universe on September 1983, from the ?All-Star Squadron #25? comic book. It was revealed in the first season of ?The Flash? that one of the casualties of the particle accelerator accident was Al Rothstein, a.k.a. Atom Smasher, shared by Screenrant. It was also suggested during the 2015 San-Diego Comic Con that Atom Smasher will be just one of the many particle accelerator fueled villains which will appear in season 2, craving for revenge against Central City?s hero the Flash.

The Flash Signal

The trailer also introduced to fans of what certainly looks like the new Flash-Signal, a clear respect to the Bat-Signal from Batman, according to Screenrant. The CW series Arrow has also delved into some of the elements from the Batman comic, shared by Screenrant. With all the addition the CW made, season 2 of the Flash will definitely be showing some muscles that will hopefully collect a lot of fans.

Recent reports also suggest Wally West joining the characters of season 2 of the Flash. Divergent ?Insurgent? actor Keiynan Lonsdale gets to play Wally West in the new season of the hit television series. The Australian actor will apparently appear as a series regular for The CW?s show next season. For more information, check out this link.
