The Divergent Series Allegiant Ending To Be Changed? Part 2 Of Movie Now Called Ascendant?

By on

Numerous fans have been angered after the plot of Insurgent movie was different from the book and they may have bigger issues to worry about. The last part of the movie was originally titled The Divergent Series: Allegiant- Part 2 and it has now been changed to Ascendant. The tagline of the last film also hints that the ending might?have been changed.

New Title

According to Huffingtonpost, the two-part last installment will no longer be called The Divergent Series: Part 1 and Part 2. Is this the producer?s way scurrying away from the ill notion that Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Twilight were spreading the story just to rake in more money? Or is it because the story will be hugely changed? The new tagline points to the latter one.

New Ending

MTV has now revealed the brand new logos for the last two films on the divergent series. Both logos also contained new taglines. ?When The Boundaries Of Your World? for Allegiant and ?The End Is Never What You Expect? for Ascendant.?[Spoilers]

Numerous People on Twitter have expressed concern that the name change for the last film may mean that the ending will be changed. While nearly every fan expressed discontentment after Tris (Shailene Woodley) dies at the end of the book, they still want the movie to remain faithful to the story of Roth.

A few fans felt that there was nothing wrong with changing the plot of the book to fit the movie. However, some have also felt that changing the name of the last installment was an absurd idea.

Even both lead stars, Shailene Woodley and Theo James, felt that Roth?s ending for the characters was a masterpiece, Movie News Guide reported. ?I think that it?s a beautiful decision that Veronica made. I mean, how often is it that somebody you really admire and who does take selfless risks everyday ends up living,? Woodley said.

Petition For Two Endings

A petition for two different endings of the divergent series has surfaced before online and they want the alternate ending to be placed in the DVD extras. The petition already has 1,831 supporters. They claim that Tris shouldn?t have died because she deserves to be happy and alive together with Tobias (Theo James). Maybe the people who signed the petition will be pleased to know that Tris probably won?t die in Ascendant?

The Divergent Series: Allegiant will be released in theaters in March 2016 while Ascendant will hit cinemas in March 2017.
