Good news for horror movie lovers! This one is especially for those who enjoyed watching ?The Conjuring.? James Wan is under the process of making “ The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist,” after the success of “The Conjuring,” one of his freakiest horror films of the past few years. The new adventure will take audiences to 1970s in London, reported Collider.
Since an official summary is not released, not much is disclosed about the film. Collider states that the movie has a backdrop of late ?70s. The film?s title refers to claims of ghostly activity out of a council house in Enfield, England that led to the demonic possession of two young girls.
After taking his cast and crew to film scenes in London, James Wan shared a series of set photos with social media to get a glimpse of his vision for his movie.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are reprising their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren. They are married paranormal investigators, reported?joblo.com
The website added that they are joined by Simon McBurney, Franka Potente, Abhi Sinha, Madison Wolfe, Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley, Benjamin Haigh, Maria Doyle Kennedy, and Simon Delaney in the upcoming sequel.
Frances O?Connor (The Hunter) also features in the movie’s cast. She will be playing the role of a desperate mother of a ghost-plagued girl. Based on news coverage of the actual event, the two girls were said to have heard demonic voices and knocking sounds on the walls. They have also seen furniture move on its own, in addition to rising and hovering of?children in the air. It will be showing us horrors that occurred?forty years in the past.
The story is written by Wan and ‘The Conjuring’ screenwriters Chad and Carey Hayes. David Leslie Johnson has re-written it.
