The mobile game industry has recently been so successful that even a few console game developers who worked on AAA titles have tried developing games on phones ? and they were highly successful. Bethesda, makers of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series for example, made a rather successful bid to cross the line with Fallout Shelter, and they remain to be the #1 app in iOS.
Not all games on mobile devices however look good, as numerous titles on the play store preferred either a simple or pixelated art style. Developers before couldn?t release wide-scale Role Playing Games (RPGs) with good graphics because many phones weren?t capable to run them.
But now, the ongoing release of more powerful smartphones has enabled the masses to play graphically intensive mobile games that almost look as if you were playing a PS3 or XBOX 360 game. Developers now can make mobile gamers experience journeying in fully detailed open world areas.
And as it will still take a month before Android users can play Fallout Shelter in their devices, we decided to dedicate and share the Best RPG Games of 2015 for Android:
The Banner Saga
In the Banner Saga, you will be forced to make tough decisions with unclear consequences. As you embark on a journey alongside a caravan of men and giants while crossing a frigid scandanavian landscape, you will have the chance to pick your own narrative, from ?every decision you make in travel, conversation, and combat has a meaningful effect on the outcome as your story unfolds?.
The game is lauded for being organic in its storytelling as some choices you make may manifest immediately or latter in the game. The people and the media also lauded the animated art style, hand drawn characters, and cell shaded villages.
When you are not engaging in conversation with others and making decisions, you will be preoccupied in strategizing in the game?s gridded turn based battles.
The game is available on iOS, PC, and on Android. Its sequel, the Banner Saga 2, will reportedly be released sometime this 2015.
You can purchase and download the Android version here.
Dungeon Hunter 5
The latest graphically detailed hack ?n? slash game from the Dungeon Hunter series has been available at the start of this year. Like the previous iterations, it has multiplayer modes and is free to play with in-game purchases.
You can download this free to play game here.
Zenonia S: Rifts in Time
Are you still hungry for more Zenonia? The cartoon animated chibi styled game is still the familiar real-time action RPG you know and love.

Joe Dever?s Lone Wolf
Half interactive book and half RPG, the art style of Joe Dever?s Lone Wolf is probably not for everyone. The game tells its story by making you read an interactive book. When travelling, you will be asked often to make decisions such as how you will infiltrate a building, how you will respond to someone, and what path to take.
When you encounter enemies, colors slowly crack the screen and reveal an amazingly detailed surrounding, making you visually see the place and know how menacing your enemy looks. This part of the game has a turn based combat but with an active time gauge so you must decide quickly how you will attack your enemies.
You should try Joe Dever?s Lone Wolf for its unique gameplay and amazing graphics. The first act of the game is free for download. The remaining 3 acts can be purchased separately or as a package.
You can download the free first act of the game here.
The only reason that this game isn?t included in the main list is because the graphics aren?t as neatly polished as the ones above.
Battleheart Legacy is a real time open world action RPG and features branching dialogue and quests.
You can purchase the game here.
