This might come across as big news but yes, it?s true. NBC has replaced Donald Trump with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the host of the reality franchise Celebrity Apprentice.

According to Entertainment Weekly, in an official statement, Paul Telegdy president of alternative and late night programming for NBC Entertainment said, ?We are thrilled to be opening a powerful new chapter in the story of the Apprentice franchise. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of a global brand in entertainment and business, and his accomplishments in the political arena speak for themselves. It was Arnold?s personal passion for the format that Mark Burnett and Donald Trump built over the last decade, as well as his fresh take on how to take it to new heights for today?s audiences? that made him the man to hire. The Celebrity Apprentice ? will be back!?

While people are still surprise with this news, according to Hollywood Reporter, the actor met NBC in September after which the process speeded up.

The report further states that NBC wanted to press the restart button as Celebrity Apprentice is one of the most important shows of its prime time schedule. Not just that, the network has cancelled many shows and relied more on unscripted fare, including?Neil Patrick Harris’ new variety show?Best Time Ever?and stalwarts such as?The Voice?and?America’s Got Talent.

Even though reports suggest that Donald Trump was asked to leave, New Vision reports that Trump had already said he would be leaving The Celebrity Apprentice to pursue his political career several weeks prior.

The program is a variation of its predecessor The Apprentice, and places well-known figures in competitions that test their business acumen and entrepreneurship, all the while helping raise money for charity.

Well, let?s wait and watch how interesting things turn out to be once Arnold takes over!
