Bandai Namco has released the new update 1.03 for Tekken 7. The 740.47MB update has been confirmed to contain updates for input lag, revenge match restrictions, game balance, and customization fixes. So far, many players have asked Bandai Namco and the Tekken team to tweak their game to be faster than it is right now.
As seen on Solo_Luck’s thread on the Tekken subreddit, the new Tekken 7 update 1.03 has just arrived. The player could only confirm that the input lag fix has been rolled out for wired controllers. As for other updates, the PS4 update history lists some quality of life tweaks for Tekken 7 players:
- Changed Revenge Match restrictions in online mode
- Made adjustments to matchmaking conditions
- Made adjustments to game balance
- Fixed bugs related to some customization items
While the patch notes do mention revenge match changes, it seems players still don’t have that option for casual matches. According to Twitter user CrimeOfSweden, there’s still no rematch option for player matches. Meanwhile, those on Reddit say that players can now engage in more than one Revenge match in Ranked play.
Meanwhile, Bandai Namco has yet to release the full patch notes to correctly read the new game balancing. So far, hardcore gamers are demanding to reduce the Tekken 7’s input lag similar to Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to make it enjoyable. Tekken 7 Director Katsuhiro Harada has previously spoke against tweaking Tekken 7’s input lag but we’ve yet to know if it really has changed as of this new update.
For now, we still have to wait for the full list of changes in Tekken 7. Keep an eye out on Tekken 7 and Katsuhiro Harada’s social media pages to see if they’ll post it there. Stay updated with more Tekken 7 news here on The BitBag.
