Bandai Namco has revealed that Geese Howard will be the next guest DLC character for Tekken 7. The character is known as a strong villain in SNK’s King of Fighters and the Fatal Fury series. Additionally, Geese Howard seems to bring the King of Fighters meter system as seen in his trailer.

The trailer, which was shown after the Tekken 7 EVO 2017 Grand Finals, starts with Geese Howard talking to Heihachi Mishima. The trailer proceeds to showcase his moves in his Tekken 7 version. His outfit looks similar to his King of Fighters 14 appearance and retains some moves from the title.

Geese’s Rage Art is Rashoumon but he still has his other supers like Raging Storm in his arsenal. Tekken 7’s Geese even has his fan-favorite parry which can parry many high attacks including Rage Art supermoves. Many fans familiar with this SNK character could enjoy his powerful and calculated playstyle in Tekken 7.

Similar to Akuma, Geese Howard also uses a special bar that allows him to execute longer combos in battle. The King of Fighters series has the “Dream Cancel” bar that allow its characters to execute long combos to obliterate foes. Geese Howard seems to bring his trademark Reppuken projectiles, which is similar to Eliza’s Dark Wave attack. Due to the lack of a heads-up display (HUD) in the trailer, we didn’t catch a glimpse at Howard’s meter. Potentially, the new DLC character may also be limited to two meter bars like Akuma and Eliza.

In his SNK fighting game appearances, Geese Howard was loved for his confident personality, love of strength, and hatred towards the weak. The character delivers his harsh philosophies in English with a thick Japanese accent which made him a fan-favorite in every King of Fighters entry.

However, fans may have to wait months as Geese Howard is confirmed for a Winter 2017 release. The nearest upcoming update is the Tekken Bowl mini-game to be released this August. The mini-game features bowling matches using the Tekken 7 playable cast. Stay updated with more Tekken 7 news here on The BitBag.
