NIS America and Japanese game publisher Atlus have announced that they will bring the strategy role-playing game Tears to Tiara 2: Heir of the Overload to Europe and North America, respectively.
Tears to Tiara 2 is an RPG developed by Aquaplus which centers on the protagonist named Hamilcar Barca. He is a young man enslaved by a ruthless empire. The plot heightens when the empire killed an innocent girl and burned her at the stake, Hamilcar was enraged and suddenly acquired the might of a berserker. With the help of a goddess, he attempts to free the people from the corrupt grasp of the empire.
Tears to Tiara 2 has been provided with an equally dramatic synopsis. Read on:
“Tears to Tiara 2 follows Hamilcar Barca, a young man eking his way through life indentured to the Divine Empire. But when the Empire burns an innocent girl at the stake, he unleashes a terrible secret-his unbridled rage and demonic might of the berserker. With his newfound strength, and the insistence of a goddess, Hamilcar shoulders the burden of freeing his people from the tyranny of a corrupt Empire. On his journey to free himself and his enslaved people, he will fight alongside powerful allies, beasts, and even the gods themselves. However, he must control the demon within first, lest he himself turns the world to ash.”
Fortunately for Hamilcar, he doesn?t need to face the wrath of the empire all by himself. Tears to Tiara 2 will be featuring 15 other main characters. Moreover, players will be reading a lot of subtitles as the game will retain its original Japanese dialogs for its more than 80 hours of gameplay. Both publishers emphasize that although this game is the second in the series, any knowledge of the previous title is not needed to understand the upcoming sequel.
This PlayStation 3-exclusive strategy RPG will be out on October 14 in North America and in Europe on November 11. While NIS America still hasn?t provided the European version with a price tag, Atlus will offer Tears to Tiara 2 in the U.S. for $ 39.99.
