US mobile carrier T-Mobile users will surely rejoice as T-Mobile rolls out Android 4.4.3 for Nexus 5 today!
In the official post in the support page of T-Mobile, the company announced, “Beginning June 2, the Nexus 5 received a software update to Android 4.4.3/ Build version KTU84M.”
The update includes the improvements on the ‘Security enhancements’ and ‘Various bug fixes’ that users will surely love.
However, there is no mention yet of the new features that will go along with the update.
SOFTWARE VERSION and HOW TO DOWNLOAD IT
Check for your current software version simply by tapping the All Apps from the Home screen > Tap System > Scroll down to ‘SYSTEM,’ and then tap About phone > then, read the version on the device.
Before you could use the Android 4.4.3, be sure that the following requirements for update are present.
1. 50% or higher battery life
2. Data connection
3. 80 MB available memory (File size of update: 77.9 MB)
You can have the software update automatically Over-The-Air (OTA). With this, your device will notify you when it is ready to update. However, if your device has not received an OTA message you can still have it via downloading the software update.
To download and install software update from the device, check for updates and download the update from the Google servers, then follow these steps:
1. From the Home screen, tap All Apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap About device.
4. Tap Software update.
? If you are not connected to Wi-Fi, you may receive a prompt to connect.
? If Wi-Fi is not available, tap OK.
? If the update is not available, you will receive the message ?The device is up-to-date.? If you receive this message, please wait for your device to receive the update via OTA.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts.
6. Wait as your device restarts and updates to Android version 4.4.3 / Software version KTU84M.
