Surface Pro 5

It was rumored earlier that the Surface Pro 5 variants will come powered by the following chipsets: Intel Core M3-6Y30, Intel Core i5-6300U or Intel Core i7-6650U. ?However, the current expectation is that Microsoft will make use of the very powerful Intel Kaby Lake processor.

But then, this chipset will not be available for commercial use until the end of this year. This explains the delay in the Surface Pro 5 release date. It is worth noting that this is the same chipset believed to drive the MacBook Pro 2016 and Air 2016.

Furthermore, Microsoft?s Surface Pro 5 is believed to come with a 2K screen resolution, but the display size will remain intact. In addition to the standard connectivity options, expect a Type-C USB port to be part of the device.
