The Microsoft Surface Phone is on the rumor mill for quite a long time now. Although the Redmond based tech giant has remained tight lipped about its upcoming smartphone, there are a lot of rumors about the specs of the upcoming handset. The latest reports claim that the device will carry a 6-inch display and an elegant design.
Recently, reports about the inclusion of an OLED display with integrated fingerprint reader surfaced on the internet. Reports claim that unlike other devices, the Surface Phone will use a touch screen to recognize its user with a fingerprint. This feature will make the device special among other handsets that uses a fingerprint reader in the home button or at the back of the device.

According to PhoneArena, the Surface Phone will be fitted with huge 6-inch display. However, the website has not mentioned which variant will carry bigger screen. For newbies, Microsoft is expected to launch in three variants. If the company actually launches a device with a 6-inch display, it will be the device for business people. The other two devices will be focused on Lumia fans and those who a looking for a budget friendly device.
Phone Arena has discovered the images published by Concept-Phones that shows a device with an edge to edge display surrounded by stereo speaker at the upper and lower end of the device. Images also show the kick-stand just like Surface Pro tablets. Moreover, the devices include special sensors instead of physical buttons on one side.
Although the images are imaginary, Bartlomiej Tarnowski has beautifully predicted how the Surface Phone could look like.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that the Surface Phone will run on either Intel Kaby Lake or Qualcomm Snapdragon 831 processor. The devices could have up to 8GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage. Moreover, it is expected to run 32 bit Windows applications.

Although Microsoft is yet to confirm official specs and Price of Surface Phone, reports claim that the company would launch the device starting at $400. The high-end device could carry a $700 price tag. The actual price of the device will depend on the final specs. Readers are advised to wait for official statement by Microsoft.
Microsoft is currently working on a new Windows 10 update codenamed Redstone 2. The company could launch the new smartphone along with Windows 10 update in spring 2017.
