Surface Book i7 has been unveiled, with many pitting it against Apple?s MacBook Pro 2016. However, one would wonder how it compares to other Microsoft laptops, such as the original Surface Book and Surface Book 2.

One of the highlighted specs of the Surface Book i7 is its ?convertible? capabilities. The laptop easily transforms into a tablet by detaching the screen from the base and flipping it. It even comes with a stylus pen to make it fully functional when used in tablet mode.

Lastly, the device?s powerful battery makes it usable for up to 16 hours.

Surface Book 2

Rumors are rife that the Surface Book 2 will no longer be released by Microsoft following the i7?s launch. Nonetheless, many are hoping that it will still be available soon.

Reports claim that Microsoft plans to upgrade not only the device?s appearance, but its features as well. It will reportedly be equipped with a 13.5-inch Pixel Sense display that can playback 4K video and 3D graphics.

Just like the i7, Surface Book 2 will also reportedly run on Intel?s new Kaby Lake processor. It will supposedly be built on a 14-nanometer technology that can double a computer?s graphic performance.

The highly anticipated gadget will also hold two ports for USB 3.0, a full size SD Card reader, a headphone jack and a Mini Display port. Its battery life also runs for up to 16 hours.

Surface Book original

Many say that there is still ?nothing like the original.? However, this might not be the case with the first official Surface Book.

The 13-inch laptop weighs a little over three pounds, making it heftier than Microsoft?s other laptops. However, its sharp edges and dramatic wedge still makes it a standout, stylish device.

The Surface Book original comes with a combined 6th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. It has up to 16GB of memory and has an optional discrete graphics chip.

Lastly, the former flagship also has a Nvidia GeForce GPU with GDDR5 memory. It is also equipped with two USB 3.0 ports and an SD card slot.

However, the original Surface Book?s battery only runs for up to 12 hours.
