If you would like to see an amazing first person shooter game, where you can bend time, using temporal mechanics, then you better head on to Kickstarter and pledge your support for ?Superhot?.

With 29 days to go (as of this writing), Superhot may not need your help, as they have surpassed their target of US$ 100 Thousand dollars with pledges amounting to US$ 129, 629,000 dollars from 5,875 backers.

Still, your US$ 14 dollars will be money well pledged, as it will get you the following, as stipulated in their Kickstarter page:

(DRM-free version download included) Also includes immediate access to a private developer forum, backer-exclusive “behind the scenes” info about the game, and a pack of digital goodies including standalone download of the original prototype with a pack of wallpapers & ringtones.

Estimated delivery: Jun 2015 ?

But, what is Superhot anyway?

Superhot was born from a simple beginning, as a Unity web game that was made for a 7 day game jam. When it was made for the ?7 Day First-Person Shooter? challenge, the developers made a unique game mechanic where ?time? only moves when you move. This forces the player to think differently about how and when to move, especially when a bullet is coming towards you. Simply put, in Superhot, a single hit will kill you.

To experience what I just mentioned, you can look at the video shown on the Kickstarter page, or even play with the prototype (as long as you have a Unity Player). A what?

According to Unity (a game ecosystem development – web link at the end of the article) ? The Unity Web Player enables you to view blazing 3D content created with Unity directly in your browser, and autoupdates as necessary. Unity allows you to build rich 3D games with animated characters, sizzling graphics, immersive physics. Then you can deliver the games to the web or as standalone players.?

The prototype is described as stunning in style with a minimalist environment, although a bit short (just a few levels, what did you expect for a prototype).

The developer ? Blue Brick ? is currently working on a full game version for the past eight to nine months, and it is now displaying what it has achieved on its Kickstarter page.

The Blue Brick Team shares that ? During these eight months we’ve fixed a lot of the problems with the original version of the game, heavily reiterated on the art style, and experimented with fun scenarios for the players to ‘solve’ — shootout in a subway train, showdown on the top of a skyscraper in rain, jumping into a moving elevator, and moreWe’ve still got a lot of work (new mechanics, more levels, better animation, rigorous testing and optimisation) ahead of us, but the core of Superhot is in place and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before.?

The Superhot game will showcase a story campaign in single player mode, with weapons and enemies, as well as capabilities for supporting the Oculus Rift ( yes, the Oculus Rift).

So what are you waiting for, head on to the Superhot Kickstarter page and make your pledge.
