Supergirl Stuntwoman Jessie Graff Wows In American Ninja Warrior

By on

Jessie Graff, who works as a stuntwoman for the TV show Supergirl, didn?t just pass the American Ninja Warrior Los Angeles Qualifiers. She absolutely crushed it.

Wearing her Wonderwoman costume, the 5?8? former pole-vaulter of the University of Nebraska breezed through the challenges as though she?s been doing it for years.

?What does a pole-vaulter bring? They bring a lot of upper body strength. And that?s what?s required here,? one of the show?s commentators said. ?So strong!?

Jessie definitely brought her A-game. FoxSports reports:

?She cruised through the floating steps, raced over the escalator, and made it through the I-beam cross while hanging upside down. For the final obstacle, Graff had to scale a 14.5-foot “warped wall,” which is six inches higher than in previous seasons. She crushed it.?

According to USAToday, this is not the first time Jessie Graff tested her mettle in the grueling obstacle course.

?In season five she was the first woman to qualify for the city finals. In this season, she’s the first woman to conquer the new 14.5 foot Warped Wall (aka SUPER HARD) in the Los Angeles qualifiers.?

The Huffington Post also lauds Jessie?s performance:

?Graff ? whose credits as a stuntwoman include blockbusters like Bridesmaids and X-Men: First Class ? previously made American Ninja Warrior history in 2013 when she became the first woman to qualify for city finals. And now, she?s got even more to boast, having made her sprint up the 14-and-a-half foot wall look like a skip through the park.?

For the uninitiated, American Ninja Warrior is a competition wherein contestants are required to complete a series of obstacle courses in the shortest possible time. As they progress into the next stages, the obstacle courses become more difficult?physically and mentally challenging. The contestants are competing for bragging rights and a cash prize.

American Ninja Warrior is said to be a spin-off of the Japanese television show Sasuke. The show is being aired on NBC, with an encore broadcast in Esquire Network.
