Supergirl Season 2 brings in a scientific villain treat via Project Cadmus. Andrew Kreisberg, Supergirl executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly that Project Cadmus will be the major villain the first half of Season 2.
In Season 1, Kara Danvers discovered Project Cadmus as an elusive and mysterious group designed to combat alien threats. She also found out that it is where her adoptive father, Jeremiah Danvers, is being held.
According to EW, Project Cadmus is a team of scientific zealots who are dedicated in their cause of eradicating alien life on Earth.
?Project Cadmus is dedicated to eradicating alien life on Earth. They?re fanatics. They?re true believers,? said Kreisberg. ?It?s a collection of scientists, of very bright, patriotic people who truly believe what they?re saying. That makes them even more dangerous.?
Similar to terrorists, huh? The difference is National City has Supergirl?and with all the crossovers that are going to happen, the city might even have Green Arrow, The Flash and The League of Legends to save them. In the meantime, our reality has only politics, policies, and a fervent hope of human morality left in most of us.
Comic book villain
Back to Project Cadmus. While Jeremiah Danvers is held in captivity, we can only hope that he hasn?t been experimented on, and that Kara won?t have to fight another family member.
There have been speculations on Supergirl Season 2 about who the main villain from Project Cadmus would be. It was revealed at the Comic Con that ?The Doctor? would be an evil female lead scientist to be reckoned with, but there are running speculations that this character will be based on the comic book villain, Serling Roquette.
Kreisberg also revealed that the show would likely get another villain in the second half of the season. Stay tuned to The BitBag for updates on Supergirl Season 2.
