Street Fighter V has begun releasing its beta codes shortly after Capcom announced their brand new fighter Necalli in a trailer.
Retailers including Amazon and GameStop have already started releasing Street Fighter V Beta codes?to customers with the beta weighing nearly 3GB, a report said. The beta will start on July 23 and will feature only online multiplayer battles. Players will be able to use familiar characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li, M.Bison, and Charlie on the beta launch while Birdie and Cammy will join the fray on July 25.
The beta can be accessed by gamers in North America by pre-ordering Street Fighter V.
New Character Necalli
Capcom has revealed over the weekend at EVO 2015 one of its four brand new characters, Necalli. Capcom Community Manager Peter Rosas says Necalli will utilize be a powerful character with a wild and animalistic fighting style.
??Players who enjoy a straight forward, hard hitting character will feel right at home with Necalli, as he possesses a wide variety of savage, close range attacks, as well as a command grab, all with the goal of demolishing his foes,? Rosas said in a report. Necalli?s V-Trigger temporarily changes his hair color and defies gravity– this?puts him in powered-up state and gives him a new personality, combos, and move-set. More details will be announced about Necalli ?in due time?.
A total of 16 playable characters will be playable at launch. All characters and game content can be freely unlocked by playing the game, but paying with real money is an option to hasten unlocking of game content.
?Capcom has already promised that Street Fighter V is the only game you need to purchase as they are now straying away from their continuous CD releases and will instead provide free DLC for new content and characters.
Street Fighter V is slated for release in spring 2016 for PS4 and PC.
