?Street Fighter 5? News: Rainbow Mika Returns As One Of The Playable Characters

By on

The latest trailer of Street Fighter 5 shows R. Mika with some of her new tricks.

While we wait for Street Fighter V to be fully complete, we get to see a new trailer for one of the characters in the game. Rainbow Mika (or just R. Mika) has become a fan favorite to Street Fighter fans way back from her first and only appearance in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Mika was a young wrestler that dreamed of becoming a star in the wrestling ring, like the same stardom with his idol Zangief. With a strict training, Mika traveled around the world engaging in bouts with other street fighters in order to spread her name and popularity.

For those who are not familiar with Mika, just like Zangief, R. Mika is more of a close ranged fighter, dealing massive blows with grapple moves, she can also do high flying moves in a distance to keep her opponents at bay. One of the new features for Mika is her V-Trigger ability to summon Nadeshiko, this allows to do sneak attacks on opponents, which could give you a taste of tag team matches on wrestling. Her V-Trigger moves will have different attack patterns that will deal a punishing blow to unexpected opponents, you can perform the trigger from different angles: neutral (body splash from above), hold back (dropkick from the front), hold forward (dropkick from behind), this allow you to mix it with grapple move to keep them on guessing what to anticipate next.

Activating her V-skill lets her pull out a microphone and do some talk smack monologue, just like in wrestling. The longer you hold the button, the more powerful her throw moves will become.

Those who attended the PAX Prime 2015 event will get a chance to try out R. Mika at the Capcom booth. No details on the release date for Street Fighter V, but we can expect a release soon on 2016 as it will be released for both PlayStation 4 and PC.
