Following a brief break during the summer, Steven Universe has come back to the Cartoon Network for its third season. Weeks after the premiere, rumors about the new gem, Bismuth, have surfaced and fans are arguing whether she is a hero or a villain.
A couple of months ago, a new gem was teased to be arriving in the cartoon series named Bismuth. However, there are already predictions that she could be the next foe in the series, but there are also those who believe she will be an ally to Steven and the other gems. Here are the speculations surrounding the character?s history that may help us discover her true identity.
As of now, the only information revealed about Bismuth is that she saved the Earth more than 5,000 years ago by fighting alongside the other Crystal Gems. Now, one theory about the character states that she is Rose?s fusion partner for the formation of the Pink Diamond. It was also mentioned that the two could have split up during the war they fought a long time ago, which landed Bismuth in Lion?s mane where she is going to be discovered by Steven.
Also, a theory on Steven Universe Season 3 states that Bismuth was split from Rose because she was not fascinated with humans. But, as the latter tries to convince her that people on Earth are great, Rose asked Bismuth to stay at a corner, which could possibly be the Lion?s mane, to give her time to change her perspective about humans.
If any of the two theories would be precise, then Bismuth would certainly become as caring and understanding as Rose, especially after the two reunited. However, if not, then it would be the other way around and she could become the next villain in the cartoon series.
Steven Universe Season 3 will reveal Bismuth in the August 4th episode titled ?Bismuth,? where Steven is going to free her from the Lion?s mane. Although the installment has not aired yet, a clip on YouTube presented how Steven would save the new gem. Here watch it:
