Steve Wozniak Silicon Valley Comic Con To Host Michael J. Fox, Stan Lee, Top Celebrities

By on

Steve Wozniak is set to launch his inaugural Silicon Valley Comic Con tomorrow and it is going to feature not only tech devices, but big celebrities as well.

In an interview with TechCrunch, Wozniak revealed that the convention will ?feature some technology elements, like an Oculus showcase and an area where app startups can demo their technology.? Aside from that, it was also revealed that the comic-con will play host to stars like William Shatner, Stan Lee and Michael J. Fox.

In a related report from Los Angeles Times, it was revealed that the event will also feature a Back To The Future cast reunion and appearances by Mythbusters co-host Adam Savage and science fiction authors and artists.

?I wanted to be a part of Silicon Valley Comic-Con because for me this how highlights what the Valley has meant to science, technology and innovation and encapsulates what Back To The Future is about,? Christopher Lloyd said as reported by the outlet.

Furthermore, LA Times stated that the event will be smaller than the San Diego Comic-Con, which drew almost 170,000 attendees last year. This year?s event in Silicon Valley is expected to draw 30,000 people per day, and if predicted right, it will have a total of 90,000 attendees all throughout the duration of the comic-con.

Wozniak also shared why he created the event saying, ?It?s for people who are local who haven?t been able to get to the San Diego one. It?ll be a full Comic-Con in terms of the sorts and booths, presentations and celebrities that we have,? he said in the LA Times report.

Lastly, the host expressed how excited he is to attend a panel hosted by cosplay experts. ?I will not be cosplaying because I don?t think of myself as that type of artist. But when I was young, after we?d sold our millionth Apple 2 computer, we had a Halloween costume contest and I won. I went as a gruesome monster, and when I took off the face there was a worse face under it,? Wozniak added.

The Silicon Valley Comic-Con will start on March 18 at the San Jose Convention Center and it will end Sunday to complete the mentioned 3-day event. Tickets are still on sale and attendees can buy it on the official website of the event.
