Steam and VR fans rejoice! Valve is now ready to show their latest toy SteamVR and it will be featured on GDC next week

VR headset or HMD (Head Mounted Display) as what other people calls it, is the coolest gadget ever. If you are an avid gamer of any first person perspective game, chances are, you have probably heard of Oculus Rift or Project Morpheus. They are two of the most popular HMD today but apparently, another company?Valve?is also making their very own VR headset and they call it, the SteamVR.

SteamVR to feature on next week?s GDC

Last Monday, Steam had finally announced that they will be featuring their latest gadgets?Steam Controller, new living room devices and SteamVR?on GDC (Game Developers? Conference) next week.

The company wrote on their post ?Steam is bringing the best games and user-generated content to exciting new destinations. At GDC 2015, we?ll be giving demos of the refined Steam Controller, new living room devices, and a previously-unannounced SteamVR hardware system.?

Not just that, Valve is also searching for active developers and publishers to try their latest device on GDC 2015 next week that is being held on Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA. They said ?With the introduction of SteamVR hardware, Valve is actively seeking VR content creators. Are you a developer or publisher interested in experiencing the new SteamVR hardware? We?ll be giving scheduled VR demos during the week of GDC, March 4th-6th, 2015, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.?

Not just SteamVR but Sony?s Project Morpheus and Facebook-owned Oculus Rift will also appear on GDC 2015.

According to cnet, Valve’s very own VR headset?is not the only HMD device that is?going to be featured on the event. Sony?s Project Morpheus and the famous Oculus Rift will also make an appearance.

Valve hasn?t released any information yet regarding the specs or details of their SteamVR and yet, they are going to go head to head against two of the biggest name in the industry when it comes to Head Mounted Display. Let?s just hope that the details for this device are on par with their competition and hopefully they will get to finish this one and release it to the public.
