With the original State of Decay game, developer Undead Labs gained huge success and followers from around the world. The studio is now working on its new entry, State of Decay 2, which will continue the survival action. The sequel to the highly successful title will feature co-op gameplay that can be joined by up to four players. The studio is fulfilling gamers? multiplayer dreams when Microsoft revealed new details about the upcoming survival entry at Microsoft?s E3 2016 conference.

With the power of Unreal Engine 4, State of Decay 2 is expected to feature highly improved visuals and gameplay elements. With the sequel, Undead Labs is making sure that the upcoming game brings more unpredictable events, challenges, and a larger world to play in. When in co-op, the survival game will make you test your strategy with up to three other players. The game will change its direction according to the decisions you make, studio founder Jeff Strain stated in his message to fans.

Every step taken by the players will lead to a unique experience. State of Decay 2 will feature dynamic game system for base building, character progression and rewards and promotion throughout the story. The story will be driven by the consequences, and ultimately, it will give players chance to prove their skills and abilities to survive in an extremely dangerous populated by zombies.

The original State of Decay game received positive reviews, and according to the studio, 2013 was a good year because of their game. Regarding the State of Decay 2 release date, the studio has not announced any specific details, but the video revealed by the publisher highlights a 2017 launch.

Those interested in building communities, growing their bases and killing hordes of zombies will have to wait for the game to come out next year. The game will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10. According to Microsoft, State of Decay 2 will be one of the titles that will be part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.
