The folks over at Blizzard and Twitch.tv have partnered with St. Jude Children?s Research, an institution focused on finding cure for cancer and other deadly diseases, to help raise funds for its patients.
Players can broadcast their games during the weekends through Twitch.tv and the proceeds will go directly to St. Jude Children?s Research. Before streaming, make sure you have registered your stream on the St. Jude PLAY LIVE website here.
The PLAY LIVE event for Hearthstone has already started the past weekend, but you can still continue streaming until throughout the?donation period which ends 11:59 p.m. central time on September 1st. For Starcraft 2, the event will be starting this upcoming weekend from August 1 to 3.
Blizzard offers a trip for two to their BlizzCon 2014 event which includes roundtrip tickets and a three-night hotel stay for two to the top fundraiser. They will also be giving away 30 BlizzCon 2014 Virtual Passes (10 per week) to the top fundraisers.

In addition, fundraising gamers (throughout all platforms) will have a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to visit the GameStop Expo event in September. The top fundraising gamer will win a trip for two for the event while the next three who have raised more than $5,000 will get a trip for one. Other top streamers will also get $25 and $50 GameStop gift cards, exclusive Twitch.tv hoodies, and St. Jude PLAY LIVE t-shirts.
In the past weeks, other popular games such as League of Legends and Dota 2 have already started their fundraising drive for the same cause. In the weeks to come, other games such as World of Warcraft and Minecraft will also be starting their PLAY LIVE event.
