The release date for Star Wars VIII and spin-off movie of Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens ‘Rogue One’ has been revealed
Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens is the major come back of the ever famous film series of the ?70s, Star Wars Saga. It is an all-time favorite sci-fi movie along with Star Trek.
However, recent news for the film suggests that, the new Star Wars series is going to have a spin-off movie and an eighth installment.
Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens spin-off movie details
Last Thursday, Bob Iger, Disney chairman and CEO, had revealed the details for the spin-off movie.
According to a report made by bbc, the spin-off for the Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens (titled as ?Rogue One?), will explore different character backgrounds and events from the core Star Wars Saga.
News from that source suggests that, Felicity Jones (the star of the movie Theory of Everything) is also included on the roster for the spin-off. As for her role however, it is still uncertain whether she will play the lead or one of the lead rather in the Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens spin-off ?Rogue One?.
As for the director, sky has reported that Gareth Edwards will be directing the film. Few of his famous works in the past are the hit monster movie Godzilla and the independent (or indie) movie Monsters.
A spokesperson from Disney has stated [via sky] ?The film starts shooting this summer in London and is due for release on December 16, 2016.”
Star Wars VIII release date revealed but no plot details yet
For the eighth installment of the film series, news has it that the movie will hit theaters on May 26, 2017, as reported by bbc. The details for the plot and characters or actors involved are still being kept well hidden so stay tuned for more updates.
