According to the Verge, tickets are on sale now through Fandango, MovieTickets.com, Arclight Cinema, AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and the Alamo Drafthouse. Screening of ?Star Wars: The Force Awakens? start as early as 7PM on December 17th, which is Thursday before the official opening date.
?We?ll see a level of excitement on par with a major rock concert, not just because it?s the first Star Wars movie in 15 years, but also because the ticket launch is in conjunction with a new trailer,? Fandango?s managing editor Erik Davis said according to Wired. ?Based on the massive amount of hype and general geek-outery over those first couple of teasers, it?s going to be like this perfect storm for Star Wars as a whole.?
You can view the film in an array of different formats including IMAX 3D, simple and regular 3D, much more recommendable 2D, and Dolby Vision, ?the new high-dynamic range theatrical format? according to the Verge.
