?Star Wars? Fan Daniel Redwood Now With The Force, Succumbs To Cancer: Disney Fulfills His Dream Before Passing Away

By on

The good fellow passed away just days after he finally watched the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

There is one thing Disney can only do that others can?t, and that is making dreams or wishes come true. And that is what happened to Daniel Redwood, a man who is suffering from a spindle cell sarcoma, a rare connective tissue cancer. He was already in a losing battle and last July, doctors say he only has two months left to live.

Daniel one last wish was to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens and many started and supported the #ForceforDaniel move for Disney to let Daniel watch the film before the actual showing. And boy did Disney really listened, with the support by Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams, they managed to show the unfinished cut of the movie at Daniel?s home just last week. His wife Ashley wrote a thank you on her Facebook about the moment:

?To all our wonderful supporters, friends, family and awesome strangers: Daniels final dream was just granted!!! Today the wonderful Disney and Lucasfilms made his final dream come true, in the amazing typical Disney way, they really do make dreams come true! Lastly I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen, thank you beyond words!!! May the force be with you all.?

And just a few days after Daniel?s wish became a reality, he died on his sleep, which was confirmed by his wife on her post on Facebook with the following statement:

?Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together. ?#?forcefordaniel?

After the news of Daniel?s passing broke out, many people and supporters send their condolences, some of them include Star Wars actor John Boyega who were also some of the supporters, including Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher who urged Disney to grant Daniel?s last wish.
