Star Wars Battlefront Beta: Livestream, How And Where To Play The Game, And Everything You Need To Know

Livestream matches of the Star Wars Battlefront beta has gone live on YouTube and Twitch even as the beta officially launches on October 8. You can view some of the battles here on Twitch or on the YouTube videos below. Here are all the things you should know about the Star Wars Battlefront beta.

When And Where To Get The Beta

The beta will be made available to all gamers on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The beta is publicly available to everyone and you don?t need to pre-order or even be subscribed to any services to take part in the beta.

The beta will be made available on October 8 for consoles and October 7 for PC. Users can keep playing the bta until October 12. For PS4 and Xbox One players, download the beta via PlayStation Network and Xbox Live respectively. If you?re gaming on PC, download the beta here on Origin. Make sure that you have enough storage space because according to the PS Blog, the beta will weigh around 7GB.

Internet Connection Is Required for Offline Modes

The beta has online and offline modes. The offline modes includes cooperative split-screen gameplay. EA noted that users will still have to be online to play the offline modes during the beta. ?For the Beta, an Internet connection is required to play Missions. However, when Star Wars Battlefront ships on November 17 you will be able to play Missions offline.

Gameplay Modes

Players will be able to play three modes limited to each of the three planets. Walker Assault on Hoth will be a 40-player battle where you either defend or destroy AT-AT?s. Drop Zone on Sullust is a 8 vs 8 match where you must fight to control escape pods. Survival Mission on Tatooine is a horde mode where you fend off against Imperial forces.

Take note that you can only reach level five in the beta. You will not be able to bring your progress and stats in the retail game.

PC Specs

You?ll need to spend money to upgrade your rig if you?re gaming on PC. Here are the minimum specs according to EA:
