The cast and crew of Star Trek Beyond gave a Vulcan salute to everyone in honor of the late Leonard Nimoy. On the final stretch of the Star Trek Beyond Omaze campaign, the cast of Star Trek Beyond including Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine and the rest of the crew of the Starship Enterprise shared a video as their tribute to the original Mr. Spock; Leonard Nimoy, who died last February.
The video features Quinto (who plays as Mr. Spock in the latest Star Trek movie) sharing a speech about Leonard Nimoy on how he made an impact in the Star Trek franchise as well to its fans. The cast and crew of the movie even shared their favorite Nimoy moments from the classic Star Trek series.
The Omaze Campaign is a charity campaign in partnership with fund-raising organization Omaze and the campaign will benefit nine of the charity groups that were chosen by the staff and cast of Star Trek Beyond, these are Brave Beginnings, Camp Sunshine, DirectRelief, KidsCan, Heaven Homes, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, Make a Wish, Time Is Precious and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude is a charity org that is very dear to Nimoy, that is why the Star Trek Beyond team also included it to the nine charities that will benefit with the campaign.
There is still one week left for the charity campaign, you can still donate by heading to the Omaze link.
