Star Citizen Flys?Into Gamescom 2016
Gamescom 2016 is shaping up to be Star Citizen?s biggest showing yet. Cloud Imperium will be streaming all-new gameplay footage throughout the five days of the event. You can see the schedule and livestream links over?here.
All the major announcements will land on Friday, when creator Chris Roberts takes the stage to deliver his keynote presentation. The main topic of discussion will be the long-awaited procedural planets system, which is being targeted for release in version 2.7 of the Star Citizen Alpha test build.
Aside from this, fans are hoping that the presentation also includes some footage of Star Marine ? the game?s often-delayed FPS module. Roberts previously said that the mode would not be on the Gamescom show floor but is still on-track for release in version 2.6. Nevertheless, some optimistic fans are still holding out for its?possible appearance during the stage demo.
?I think it’s worth pointing out that he only said that it won’t be shown from the show floor. He made no comment about it potentially being shown on the stage on Friday,? said Reddit user KaiBunneh.
