The San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers will face off once again, this time at the Staples Center on February 19. The Spurs had defeated the Lakers, 106-102, at the AT&T Center in their last meeting on February 6. Things haven?t been going well for the Lakers posting an 11-44, win-loss record in the ongoing 2015-16 regular season.

The Lakers threatened to blemish the Spurs? perfect home record in their last meeting, but instead, the Spurs went up to a perfect 28-0 outscoring the Lakers by six points in the final frame. The hosts led 29-20 following the opening quarter, but were outscored in the second and third quarters to trail 81-79 entering the fourth. Danny Green scored 9 of his 11 points in the final period to help San Antonio remain undefeated at home.

LaMarcus Aldridge finished with a game-high 26 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 2 assists and fellow starting forward Kawhi Leonard added 20 points and 13 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.

Kobe Bryant continued his perfect play in the month of February, leading with 25 points to leave him averaging 30.0 points per game through three contests this year. The game marked Bryant?s last in San Antonio where he appeared in 31 regular season games and averaged 22.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.53 steals in 36.9 minutes.

The Spurs are 3-0 against the Lakers this season. In the first meeting on December 11, 2015, the Spurs picked up a 109-87 victory at the AT&T Center. San Antonio led 51-49 at the intermission before outscoring Los Angeles 58-38 in the second half. Spurs forward Aldridge recorded his team-leading eighth double-double of the season (24 points, 11 rebounds), while Leonard also registered a double-double (16 points and 11 rebounds). The Spurs bench also outscored the Lakers bench, 56-26.

In their second meeting on January 22, the Spurs won their 13th straight game, 108-95, at the STAPLES Center. The victory tied the Silver and Black with the Boston Celtics for most 13-game winning streaks in NBA history. Off the bench, San Antonio?s Manu Ginobili produced a season-high 20 points (9-10 FG, 2-2 3FG) to go along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks.
