Sprint LG G Flex and Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Receiving Android 4.4 KitKat Update

Android 4.4 KitKat update is now seeding in the United States and it is for Sprint LG G Flex and Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

The United States network carrier Sprint is now updating their LG G Flex model to Android 4.4 KitKat and users can now download the new firmware wirelessly. However, Sprint did not detail the change log of Android 4.4 KitKat for LG G Flex and simply noted that the new firmware delivers various enhancements and bug fixes.

Owners of Sprint LG G Flex will receive software build version LS995ZV6 rolling out in batches from April 28th to May 7th 2014. Your smartphone should be able to get a notification once the firmware has reached your area or if not, simply manually check for update using the built-in updater feature inside the device ? go to Settings > About > Software Updates.

Interestingly, one user already posted a comment after updating the LG G Flex to Android 4.4 KitKat. Lizzie76058 said that the update changed something about the lock screen regarding a knock code but Sprint has not replied yet on the comment.

Verizon Wireless is another U.S. network carrier seeding out Android 4.4 KitKat firmware and it is for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. It features the following changes on the Galaxy tablet:

It also contains several fixes to known issues affecting the device from the previous firmware version:

-????????? Delay in the opening of S-Note file from home screen widget.

-????????? Flickering issue in portrait mode of tab bar in Chrome browser.

-????????? Set-up Wizard Google Account sign-in error.

-????????? Access limit for enforcing PIN or Pattern attempts when unlocking the tablet.

-????????? Decryption password failure did not erase SD card error.
