During San Diego Comic Con 2016, it was revealed that The Vulture is the one our favorite web-head would be facing in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The Vulture’s new look has received praise from casual and comic book fans, making the film even more anticipated than it was before. This news has made some fans wonder if we would see The Vulture in the upcoming Spider-Man PS4 game.
Revealed back at Sony?s E3 2016 conference, there still isn’t a lot of information regarding the upcoming PS4 superhero game. It seems to be in good hands, since it’s coming from Insomniac Games, the developers of Ratchet and Clank, along with the recently released Song of the Deep. There’s a good chance that this title will be better than some of the more recent Spider-Man titles.
Vulture himself isn’t new to the video game scene, so seeing him in the unnamed Spider-Man PS4 project wouldn’t be that much of a stretch, though his appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming will be his film debut. The winged villain has appeared in the first Spider-Man movie game for the PS2 and Web of Shadows for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
If Vulture will be appearing in the game, he will be joining Mr. Negative as the only comic book villains that have been revealed for the game thus far. Negative’s henchmen were spotted at the E3 2016 gameplay video, so he is definitely in the PS4 exclusive. Vulture’s status is still up in the air, since the game isn’t based on Homecoming.
Considering the minimal details revealed about the game, we’re going to have to wait for a long time to see if Vulture or any of Spider-Man’s other villains will make it to the PS4 exclusive. For now, it is safe to assume that the game will be fun to play, since the web swinging looks great.
Spider-Man PS4 currently has no release date but has been confirmed as a PS4 exclusive. While late next year seems like a good bet, more details about the game could be revealed when Spider-Man: Homecoming comes to theaters on July 7, 2017, with Tom Holland reprising his role from Captain America: Civil War.
