Spider-Man Homecoming Cast: New Villains, Supporting Characters–What We Know So Far

By on

Spider-Man: Homecoming cast is finally revealed. The new film could be the big reboot that the franchise needs now that Spidey is fully included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The whole idea of the movie is following a teenage Peter Parker trying to make sense of the world after having come across with the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War. Spider-Man: Homecoming, like the name suggests, will be staged in Peter Parker?s high school.

Marvel, in San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), released a trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming along with first footages from Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Thor: Ragnarok. Marvel though did not release any of the footage yet to the internet and fans have been rubbed the wrong way a little because of the exclusivity. But, as people talk much, we are lucky to have some descriptions of the trailer. Here?s a pretty detailed breakdown by Emergency Awesome on YouTube.

On reddit, user Marvelite777 posted on the Spider-Man subreddit a picture description of the Comic-Con trailer. You can see it below.

If you are curious about the upcoming film, then here?s what we know so far.

Spider-Man Homecoming Cast

As fans would know, Tom Holland will play Peter Parker. He will be fighting off three villains. The ?big villain? of the film will be Vulture who is expected to be played by Michael Keaton. Another villain in the film will be the younger version of The Tinkerer who is likely going to be played by Logan Marshall-Green. Shocker, the third villain is likely to be played by Bokeem Woodbine.

Marisa Tomei will continue to reprise her role as Aunt May Parker. Flash Thompson, in this reboot, is now Indian–boosting the diversity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character will be brought to life by Tony Revolori. One of Peter Parker?s classmates, Michelle, will be played by Zendaya. Robert Downey Jr. is also expected to appear in the film as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Their connection in Captain America: Civil War could help connect the franchise to the other films and bring more star power to it.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently in production and is expected to be released on July 7, 2017. Here?s a clip of the Marvel panel at Comic-Con.
