The “Soulja Boy challenge” continues to take the Instagram world by storm. More people have been releasing spoof videos even as he made new news due to his beef with Chris Brown.
The whole internet trend began right before the end of 2016. It started during a guest appearance by the Crank That rapper on Vlad TV where he narrated a 2008 burglary incident that happened in his home.
The 26-year-old hip-hop star’s storytelling skills were so animated, especially when he detailed how he shot the burglar several times. He even made comedic gunshot sound effects that stuck with those who saw the epic interview.

Soulja Boy Challenge
Soon after the tell-all clip was uploaded online, people made their own narrative videos mimicking Soulja Boy’s interview.
A number of well-known comedians and rappers re-enacted his storytelling antics. Mike Epps and Michael Blackson are among the first personalities who made their own versions of the spoof. Joe Budden, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty also did the challenge to poke fun at their fellow rapper.
Fans then followed suit and shot their own exaggerated storytelling videos. This ballooned into the now-viral #SouljaBoyChallenge.
So far, the Chicago-born musician has been a sport about the videos and has not commented negatively about them.
The Soulja Boy Instagram Challenge craze has been going on for a few days. It seems that there is no stopping the viral online trend – even as the rapper is now facing a real-life challenge.
According to Hollywood Life, R&B star Chris Brown has challenged the 26-year-old to an actual boxing match.
The Soulja Boy-Chris Brown beef began earlier this week with the former throwing shade at the singer online.
Based on a profanity-laced post on Chris Brown’s Instagram page last January 4, the Deuces singer has seemingly had enough. He called an end to Soulja Boy’s online dissing and asked him to fight in person.
The 27-year-old Grammy-winning artist even tagged boxing champion Floyd Mayweather in his post. The WBC pro will supposedly coordinate the event though his company Mayweather Promotions.
