With regards to Android?s 7.0 Nougat, the latest news is that it would be making its first stop on Nexus devices. Despite that, reports also confirmed that the Sony Xperia Z5 will also get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. In the Sony Mobile blog, the announcement said ?We will make Android 7.0, Nougat available for: Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance.?
Sony also added that aside from the Xperia Z5, they are also excited to roll out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to all of their devices, hoping it will improve their functionality and stability. Currently, limited information has been released about the latest Android software update and its role in the Sony Xperia Z5, but Sony promised to reveal more details as soon as they have all the information needed for the consumers.
Unfortunately, the Android 7.0 Nougat update only applies to the Xperia Z5 and all of Sony?s high end devices. No further announcements were made for the updates on lower end handheld devices like the C series. With Sony highlighting the presence of the Xperia Z5 on the latest Android update, inquiries about the device?s specs also surfaced.
According to Mobile & Apps, the Sony Xperia Z5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch LCD screen featuring a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. The optimized touchscreen feature of the screen supports 4K display. The Xperia Z5 comes out of the box also fully equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB internal storage, an expandable storage using microSD slot and a 3 GB RAM.
The media ability of the Xperia Z5 phone includes a ?23-megapixel primary camera and a 5.1-megapixel secondary camera. The device carries a 2,900 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the Sony Xperia Z3 model. The Sony Xperia Z5 price is currently at $962 according to the report.
