With almost everyone using it nowadays, Sony is following the trail of breadcrumbs Microsoft Office is leaving.
What Sony will actually be doing is a deal with Microsoft. Almost every platform today uses the Microsoft Office program?PCs, laptops, and even smartphones, all of which run on Microsoft?s Windows OS or perhaps Google?s Android OS. Sony, seeing the sense of packaging MS Office along with their gadgets, has decided to go and have Microsoft Office initially installed on their devices as it ships out.
So here are two articles we?re going to take a look at. As per The Verge, the device which Sony Xperia is actually packaging Microsoft Office with is the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet?a variant of which is coming seemingly ahead of the Xperia Z4 phone. Another article comes to us by way of Digital Trends. This one, however, is more a review of the tablet and less a look at what Microsoft Office has to offer the Sony Xperia tablet.
Microsoft Office gets packaged with Android wrappings
Microsoft Office appears to be working with a strategy, as per The Verge.
With this strategy, Microsoft Office is slowly but surely making itself more available on Google?s Android, thereby marking their territory even within Android?s smartphone playground, as per The Verge. As it appears, Microsoft has a working relationship with Sony, even as Sony is partnered with Google concerning its Android devices. The report, however, also mentioned that Samsung is in talks with Microsoft for the same package.
Samsung and Sony both have different ways of going about with this?it appears that Sony will be going all the way with Microsoft Office. This could put Android?s own apps in jeopardy, even as they are packaging their own, like Google Drive, for starters, and other open source office apps.
Thin and with a Vengeance
The charm with the Sony Xperia Z4 is perhaps because it?s a thin tablet.
Thin appears to be in since the CES 2015 and the arrival of thin laptops like Dell?s XPS 13, and the same appears to be prevalent among tablets, as per Digital Trends. The Xperia Z4 salvaged what the Xperia Z4 phone was supposed to have gotten. It tops out at 10.1-inches, and with a 2560 x 1600 display, it?s sleek and vicious. It is also reportedly perfect for gamers and outdoors-type of people alike, as per Digital Trends. However, there?s no release date as of yet, so the Xperia Z4 smartphone may have time to be launched before the Xperia Z4 tablet, as per Digital Trends.
That aside, the rage with thin tablets and phones seems to suggest the Xperia Z4 heading that direction as well. Thin might be in, but are we going to see whose thin gadget will give out first?
The Xperia Z4 show
The wait for the Xperia Z4?as well as the arrival of the Xperia Z4 tablet imminent?makes Sony a particularly noisy neighbor among Android-powered devices. Will we see an upset in the making? Perhaps Sony will be making that unique attention afforded to them rival that of the popular attraction which Samsung and Apple usually enjoys.
