The Sony Xperia Z4 was one of the handsets which made a great impression at the recently concluded CES.
However, the next event in line for Sony?the MWC?would be the event to watch whether the company would be able to bring along a new flagship or not. It has been known?through leaks?that Sony is currently working on a new flagship, which may be the Xperia Z4. However, as per this Slash Gear article, it is rumored that Sony is currently not able to show anything in relation to the phone. How would this affect their showing at the MWC?
Another news we are taking a look at concerns the Xperia Z4 itself and a cousin which may be more in-line with Asian consumers. Some countries in Asia?particularly in the South-east Asian sector?favor dual SIM phones because of their preference from pre-paid over post-paid subscriptions. So how would this fare eventually? We take a look at this Christian Today article which tells us a bit about the fate of the Xperia Z4 and its dual SIM brethren.
Xperia Z4 May Not Release in Time for Mobile World Congress
The Sony Xperia Z4 is, indeed, a classy phone.
But classy cannot constitute to anything if it?s not in existence?at least, that?s what?s happening in the Z4?s case. As per Slash Gear, the Z4 is in danger of not appearing at the Mobile World Congress simply because it?s not ready yet. Another thing that the Slash Gear article says is that the Xperia Z4 would instead opt to field another flagship phone, one whose release is a little bit closer?May or November of this year.
That?s great, but as it appears, the Sony Xperia Z4 was the phone everyone wanted to see once the Mobile World Congress rolled around. Is it fair to have expected Sony to have gotten it ready for MWC 2015? For sure, Sony is making sure that when the Xperia Z4 rolls around, it will be ready to strut its stuff fully.
A Dual-Sim Variant to Roll-Out
Perhaps one of the reasons why it?s taking too long to roll out is because it comes in different variants.
The other day, the Xperia Z4 Music was explored in another article by the Bitbag. However, this time, a dual-SIM variant of the phone is coming, as per Christian Today. Popular in Asian countries, the dual-SIM variant of the phone allows for two SIM cards to be simultaneously placed in the phone. It makes sense that the dual-SIM variant would arrive in Asian countries, where pre-paid users outnumber post-paid users greatly, as per Christian Today.
While it is indeed headed for a release, the phone might come later, since there is a lot riding on the Xperia Z4. It is being touted as the successor to the Xperia Z3, and with the Z series being a line of superb phones, the pressure is on for the Sony Xperia Z4 to perform.
Sony?s Year is Here
Then again, in what year did Sony fail to impress?
Despite its hefty price, Sony?s Xperia line hasn?t fared badly in recent years, and they?re not about to start in 2015. Consumers should view the delayed release of the Z4 as a tactic, if you will?a way in which Sony can be sure that their phone wouldn?t disappoint and would perform, just like the phones in their past line-ups.
