Voice Call Test
Sony Xperia Z2 lasted for 22 hours and 13 minutes under the voice call test which is slightly longer compared with Galaxy S5 but two hours more resilient than HTC One M8. Additionally, Xperia Z2 beaten out the LG G2 with Android KitKat in terms of browsing duration but was unable to surpass Xperia Z1 Compact with more than 12 hours of Internet surfing.
Sony Xperia C, Nokia Lumia 1520 and HTC Desire 700 dual-SIM variant were also able to beat out Xperia Z2 in this endurance test.
Even though its display screen is larger than Xperia Z1, Xperia Z2 remains as a smartphone and not a tablet. It scored 12 hours and 16 minutes under continuous video playback which also twice compared with Xperia Z1. It is also one hour or one show episode longer compared with HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
LG G Flex, Nokia Lumia 1520 and BlackBerry Q5 were able to outlast Sony Xperia Z2 on the movie marathon contest.
