Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Receives Android 4.4 Update

Sony has announced the coming of Android 4.4 update for the ?Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia T2 Ultra dual smartphones.

The update brings a range of new and exciting features and enhancements like a tweaked ?status bar and new Quick Settings making both smartphones customizable and intuitive. Plus, Sony also updated the media applications and integrated them with Sony?s cloud service.

?We?ve been working to build new Sony experiences on Google?s KitKat release to create some neat/sweet features (if we say so ourselves) ? in addition to a few performance tweaks here and there,? Sony said in the news release posted in their official website.

Here are some of the exciting features and enhancements from the update according to Sony’s official blog post:

? Android 4.4 KitKat – brings performance and UI optimisation;
? Tweaked Status Bar and Quick Settings – now more intuitive and customizable and pretty easy on the eye
? New user interface. Sony added the same sleek launch animation and live wallpaper of PS4 across the lock and home screens to the software upgrade

? Sony also has made changes in the entire native app portfolio to the latest versions bringing tweaked/improved/current experiences for Messaging, MyXperia, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, TrackID TV, Sony Select, Smart Social Camera;
? Intergration – WALKMAN, Album and Movies with Sony Entertainment Network cloud service; and Sony Entertainment Network and PlayMemories integration with a more intuitive UI

? Unique custom interface experience: ?Xperia Themes?, with downloadable UI packs from Sony Select
? Compatibility with SmartWear Experience; SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app

After this update for Xperia T2 Ultra, Sony revealed its plan of bringing updates with Xperia E1 and Xperia M2.
