A few days ago, Sony had announced their new smartphone called, ?Xperia A2? The new smartphone from Sony has been made available for NTT DoCoMo as it was posted on its Japanese website. However, the price or when the phone will be officially out on the market was yet to be officially announced.
The Japan-only handset is, however, being tipped as the Sony Xperia Z2 compact, which everybody is looking forward to.? It is the smaller version of Sony?s flagship model Xperia Z2. Last year, Sony had also released Xperia Z1 f for NTT DoCoMo. It has great specifications that pretty much resembles its bigger counterpart Xperia Z1. Coming in a form 4.3-inch phone, it was called the mini version of Xperia Z1.
Looking at how things went on with the Japan-only Xperia Z1 f, it?s safe to say that the same is going on with Sony?s newer flagship model. Sony released a Japan-only variant of the flagship model smartphone in the past, which was Xperia Z1. It will be just a little while until Sony introduces the international variant of Xperia A2 (hopefully.)
Xpera A2 runs on Android 4.2 Kitkat and has a 4.3-inch display Triluminos 1280×720 HD display. The phone will be powered by a 2.2 ghz quadcore processor, which name is yet to be revealed. It also has a 2gb RAM to keep things well handled. It has a rear camera with a resolution of 20.7 megapixels and 2.2-megapixel front one. Both cameras can shoot HD videos. It sports a 16GB storage space, though, there is no official announcement if this capacity can be somehow increased with the help of a microSD card. Finally, the phone is powered by a 2300mAh battery, which is okay for most applications.
In some ways, Xperia A2?s specs are pretty much similar to Xperia Z1 Compact?s, including the display size, the battery specifications, etc. There?s only a bit of a difference between the handsets? thickness.
