What About Sony Xperia SP?
Sony Xperia SP official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update remains ?under investigation? at Sony?s official support page. Sony Mobile hasn?t confirmed or denied the development of the next firmware for the said smartphone.
Several hints have been reported before about the slim chance of Xperia SP on receiving another major upgrade within the months of June and July. Vodafone Spain forum representatives was told that Sony Mobile has started working on a new software version for Xperia SP but they don?t know which Android version.
?For now, Sony told us that is has begun work on a new version of software, but has not given details about changes that could include this new version nor have provided a forecast for output. I commented at the time that something new arises.?
According to the report from JustAboutPhones, Xperia SP is included in the Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade roadmap of Sony Mobile from June to July 2014 along with Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia M2 and Xperia E1 which was announced by Sony already.
However, the leaked internal document is easy to be faked and there is no way to confirm if the roadmap tells the truth, unless Sony releases a new announcement detailing an ongoing firmware development for Xperia SP.
