SMOSH: The Movie is an upcoming low-budget movie that stars the famous YouTube duo Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox?famously known on YouTube as Smosh.
This should be On a report from Deadline, Dreamwork’s AwesomenessTV and Defy Media would co-produce the low-budget movie.
Matt Diamond, Defy?s CEO said [via The Hollywood Reporter] ?Smosh: The Movie marks a major next step in serving the millions of Smosh fans and an opportunity to entertain millions more,? he also added ?With so many loyal fans expected at this year?s VidCon event, where we will also celebrate Smosh’s ten year anniversary, we couldn?t think of a better place to debut the movie.?
SMOSH: The Movie plotline revealed
As said on Deadline, the producers describe this upcoming movie as something like a high-concept Bill & Ted?s Excellent Adventure,?Alex Winter would be directing.
The Story, as revealed on The Hollywood Reporter, will revolve around the duo’s adventure of removing an embarrassing video clip of Anthony before his high school crush finds out about its presence.
The movie is going to be written by Eric Falconer (of Blue Mountain State and How I Met Your Mother) and Alex Winter (of Bill & Ted?s Excellent Adventure).? The news doesn?t end there just yet.
Cast of the upcoming SMOSH: The Movie
Since this is going to be a movie that will feature two popular YouTubers, it wouldn?t make sense if the production doesn?t include more familiar faces from the video sharing network.
According to Variety Online Magazine , Jenna Marbles is also going to be included in the cast along with other YouTube personalities like Grace Helbig, Harley Morenstein of Epic Meal Time, Mark Fischback (famously known as Markiplier) and Dominic ?D-Trix? Sandoval. Not just only YouTube stars but also other actors and actresses from Hollywood will also make an appearance here like Jillian Nelson, Brittan Ross, ?Stone Cold? Steve Austin and Michael Ian Black.
