There is brilliant news for all the Skype users. Users can, now, directly make international calls from Skype for Web to cell phones or landlines. However, they can only use this service by using Skype credits or subscriptions, company officials said on March 14.
The new features will also help those people who use a shared computer, which does not have the Skype desktop app installed, as well as, people who prefer using the service in a web browser, according to a Skype blog post.
Users can go to Skype.com or web.skype.com to sign in and connect to use Skype for Web. Skype for Web, which is still in beta, reduces the necessity to download the Skype app before conferencing and/or messaging others instantly.
According to Skype, Microsoft also added the feature that will allow users to watch a YouTube video directly from inside Skype for Web via a video link. The potential to add people in a conversation directly even if they are not on Skype is another feature that Microsoft has introduced to Skype for Web, an executive said. The users will now receive notifications even if users are signed into Skype for Web from another tab or app.
