The Sims game is about creating just about any perfect and ideal life, or the other way around, but if it is not the latter, a swimming pool in your home is a must have. Bad news though, because the developers of the Sims 4 are removing the pool, along with toddlers altogether, and this is upsetting some people.
EA announced that the Sims 4 won?t have pools included in the game, or at least, with the initial release.
?And while we recognize that some of you will be disappointed that pools and toddlers won’t be available when The Sims 4Base Game launches in September, you should know that we’re building an incredibly strong foundation that is capable of fulfilling every one of your desires in the years to come.?
Like we?ve mentioned, swimming pools aren?t the only thing going to be left out of Sims 4. Toddler stage will also be removed in the developmental stages of your Sims. This means that an infant will instantly jump onto the child stage. This is not really a big deal as you can?t really do that much with toddlers.
Sims 4 is already getting more attention. It has a ?greatly improved Build feature and robust create-a-sim mode which ?focuses on your Sim?s emotional states, but removing things that worked perfectly with the previous titles are bound to upset some fans of the series, and it certainly did.
One example is this post on reddit:
?Sorry, but pools are the most iconic part of the sims, its more than a bit dumb? as far as features to remove from the sims goes. Drowning sims is the sims. You might as well, take away the green diamond over their heads while you?re at it. Not that I expect that it will effect[sic] sales in any way, they?ll probably make the money in the long run with inevitable pool DLC. It?s just a dick move for fans of the series.?
Another one from Tabion?s Tweet:
?How are they removing features from the sims, how is that possible. Swimming pools, toddler life phase. What NEXT??? REMOVE DOOR??
Still, it may not be included in the initial release of the game, but any Sims fan would be ticked off if one of the features that they are very much used to, will be removed. More so if they have to pay for a DLC that will finally include such features like these.
